Associations
The son of a dentist, Dr. Andrew Martin, was born and raised overseas, but has called Gainesville home for over 20 years.
He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Chemistry and Microbiology before attending the University of Pittsburgh for dental school. He excelled at the various dental disciplines and graduated with high honors and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Society.
Dr. Martin has remained a lifelong student and averages over 300 hours of continuing education every year. He has earned his Fellowship and Mastership Awards in the Academy of General Dentistry and been awarded a Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition award. He was named one of the 40 top dentists in the country under the age of 40 and was also nominated by his peers to be inducted into the international Pierre Fauchard Academy for his contributions to dentistry. He lectures to dental students in their final year and also volunteers at the local We Care clinic.
Active in organized dentistry, Dr. Martin has served as the President of the Gainesville County Dental Association, the Florida Academy of General Dentistry and has served as the Trustee for Florida, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands on the National AGD Board.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Martin loves spending time with his wife, Jen, and their goldendoodle, Oliver. Together they love to travel and have visited close to thirty different countries.
